Nice looking, but a few design errors

I've been using my Japanese rice cooker for over 10 years. It's ugly and actually too big for my needs (one of those tacky white floral ones.) I came across this one on Amazon and was immediately attracted to its stainless steel design. Works just like my Japanese one. Came with steamer basket (don't use) plus spoon and measuring cup. What is was missing, however, was a retractable cord. My Japanese rice maker has that and it's very nice to have. Also, it slides around a lot. No rubber stoppers on feet. So I need to see if I can find something as I have a granite counter and I don't like this - could be safety issue with households with small kids. I suppose you could put it on some sort of rubberized mat. Anyhow, it does an excellent job of making rice and the price was right, so overall I'm happy.
